Have you ever wished that you could make money online without having to worry about getting scammed? Well, you can and in this Survey Compare review I’ll explain how it all works.
Online survey’s may be a great scam free way to make money online, but... unfortunately they can’t provide a “job replacing income” allowing you to leave the stresses of your work (or the people at your work) behind.
If you would like to earn the kind of income that can replace your job (thousands per month), check out my entire strategy here.
Please note, I am not a affiliated with Survey Compare in any way. This review has been researched with information and testimonials that are available online in the public domain. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.
What is Survey Compare?
Survey Compare is a platform that connects you (referred to as a high quality panelist) with market research companies. They are different than most survey companies in that they don’t provide you with the surveys, but instead connect you to several other survey sites at all at once.
It's a unique idea.
SurveyCompare is owned by parent company Marketing VF Ltd who also owns EDUCompare. Founded in 2009, Marketing VF Ltd has been recognized as one of the fastest growing tech companies in the UK and has been voted the 4th best company to work for in The Sunday Times. They have also made the INC, 5000 Europe list.
So, Survey Compare is standing on some solid ground.
How Does It Work?
Step one is to provide your age and gender, and then Survey Compare will present you with a list of survey sites to join, which will look like this (image below). You simply select the ones you want to participate in.
Once you choose your sites, you will be guided to a simple sign up that includes your name and email address.
It’s really that simple (as far as SurveyCompare goes). There is more however...
Your next step will be to set-up your profile with the individual survey companies, and then go through a screening process to determine your demographic and eligibility. This will vary between companies but you can expect it to be 15 – 30 minutes with some surprisingly personal questions being asked.
This is one of my gripes with online surveys. They need to narrow down your demographic so that they can match you to relevant surveys. As a result, they will ask you to share information that you would typically wouldn't even tell your best friend. But some sites are more invasive than others, and you can often opt out of the more personal questions.
After you do that, you're set to go. Complete surveys online and hope that your answers qualify so you get paid. Because you're dealing with third parties, payment methods will vary from company to company. Typically you can expect a points system which can be traded for gift cards and cash directly into your Paypal account.
Is it A Scam?
Although I already mentioned that Survey Compare was a scam free way to make money online, just in case you are skimming quickly I wanted to touch on this topic again.
No, Survey Compare is not a scam.
They are up-front about your potential earnings from doing surveys. It’s not much, and they are the first to say that surveys are for earning extra spending money. They will not provide an income.
This is a quote from their site,
"Yes, you can earn extra money with paid surveys, but don’t be taken in by any website that promises an unrealistic pay-out.
Think of paid surveys as a convenient way to earn spending money. There are survey scammers out there, but SurveyCompare works only with trusted market research companies.
You will never have to pay any of our selected partners: you’re the one who’s earning here, not them!”
The biggest problem with survey companies, and the reason people accuse them of being a scam, is because you will often finish a partial (or full) survey only to be told you did not qualify. In other words, you spent all that time answering questions for nothing. You won't be paid.
This is because it's often necessary for you to do the survey before the market research company can decide if you were right for it.
This is usually why they are labeled scams.
Is it For You?
If you value your time, online surveys may not be for you. They are not a serious way to make money online.
However, if you enjoy scrolling Facebook or playing games on your phone while watching TV (Yes, I'm guilty from time to time), then answering simple questions and earning a few bucks in the process may be just what you’re looking for.
In that case, I would definitely give SurveyCompare a try.
My personal recommendation for people who want to make money online is affiliate marketing, which is an online business strategy where large companies such as Amazon and Walmart pay you commissions for being a "gateway" of sorts to their websites.
This is the strategy that I use to make money online. Your income potential is far greater (limitless in fact) and most importantly, it provides a passive income.
The work you put in today, can pay you for many years to come.
Survey Compare Complaints
There are surprisingly few complaints online, which is something not many companies can say. In fact, most complaints are not related to Survey Compare directly, but to the third party survey companies they connect you with.
- The most common complaint is expected. Filling out complete or partial surveys and then being told that you do not qualify.
- One comment I read claimed that their anti-virus started to report adware and tracker threats. It’s difficult to say whether this is from Survey Compare or not, but it’s not likely. It’s probably related to a third party site, not Survey Compare.
- Another common complaint is not receiving many survey offers. The number of surveys you will be offered, or at least the ones you are eligible for, will depend on your demographic. I know from my own experience, my email is loaded with survey offers every day (although for the small payout, I rarely complete them unless I'm testing for a review).
TIP: If you’re going to sign up for online survey’s, create a separate email account specifically for that purpose so all of your surveys can be found in one place.
What I Like About Survey Compare
- It’s simple and clean. You’re not bombarded with Ads and pop-ups.
- They are honest up-front about your earning potential, and even offer advice to avoid scams.
- The Survey Compare platform functions exactly as advertised. I had no issues with it, and I did not find any user complaints regarding technical issues.
- Supports Charites such as Honour Village Cambodia, Samaritans, and Lifelites.
- Free to use.
What I Didn’t Like
- Small earning potential for the amount of time required.
- The screening process for each survey company can be invasive. Questions about your income, loans you have, employer details, etc. are common.
- Survey Compare only connects you with other survey sites, so you’re still dealing with third party companies and all the issues associated with each one.
- If you’re already signed up with several survey companies, there is really no reason to use Survey Compare.
It should be noted, most of these negatives are not directly related to Survey Compare, but to online survey’s and research companies in general.
As far as online survey’s go, Survey Compare can be a handy tool that let’s you join multiple sites at once.
But you won't be able to quit your job.
For that you will need to consider other options. My number one recommendation is Wealthy Affiliate because it’s free to join and will provide you with all the training and tools you need to get started.
I hope my Survey Compare review was helpful, and thank you for stopping by.
